0. Introduction
The Righteous Standards System (RSS) establishes a universal framework for defining, practicing, and evaluating righteousness across individuals, institutions, and societies. RSS 37001 defines the fundamental truths that serve as the conceptual foundation for all higher‑layer standards within the RSS family.

Layer 1 provides the foundational basis for the Seven‑Layer Architecture:

- Assurance
- Restoration
These layers form a complete, integrated system for understanding and applying righteousness in all domains of human and institutional activity.
0.2 Conceptual Architecture
Righteousness exists and operates through two essential pillars:
- People
- Institutions
These pillars represent the two universal expressions of righteousness. All factors, domains, processes, and assessments in the RSS ecosystem originate from this dual‑pillar structure.

- All RSS‑aligned applications, assessments, and educational materials
RSS 37001 is the foundational standard for the entire RSS family and governs the interpretation of all higher‑layer standards.

This standard is self‑contained. No external normative references are required.
3. Terms and Definitions
All terms and definitions used in this standard are authoritative for the entire RSS ecosystem. Definitions appearing in this document take precedence over definitions appearing in any other RSS standard.
4. Structure of This Standard
This standard contains two normative components:
- RSS 37001‑1.1 — Righteous Axioms
- RSS 37001‑1.2 — Table of Axioms
These components define the foundational truths that guide all higher‑layer RSS standards.
5. RSS 37001‑1.1 — Righteous Axioms
Axiom 1 — Internal Motivation of Integrity
Righteousness originates from an internal moral motivation to uphold integrity, rather than from external pressure, compliance, or fear of consequences.
Axiom 2 — Alignment with Core Virtues
Righteousness requires alignment with the essential virtues of love, wisdom, respect for law, honesty, integrity, fairness, justice, reflection, admission of fault, correction, humility, and respect.
Axiom 3 — Dual‑Pillar Expression
Righteousness is expressed through two universal pillars: people and institutions. Both must align with righteousness for a system to be whole.
Axiom 4 — Restoration Requirement
When righteousness is broken, it must be restored through reflection, admission of fault, and correction.
